Big Dig: Oversight was an oversight
So this is what the Big Dig watchdogs were doing: nothing -- at the behest of their boss. Do give it a read.
Now, it's hearsay, but how could the truth be much different? Add to my wishlist for a new governor: propose and implement a tough, strong, independent, knowledgeable, bad-ass oversight agency for all public works. It is our money.
(Thanks to Universal Hub.)
(Edited so as not to parrot Wave Maker's post more than necessary.)
(Another edit: as pointed to by the 'Hub, Bruce's post at Mass Backwards is even more of a must-read.)
