This post sucks
... 'cause this is what a political vacuum looks like:
ARG poll: Bush 36% approval rating.
Limbaugh's and Hannity's radio ratings cratering in Minneapolis, major metropolitan area in a swing state; guys (mostly) turning to sports talk instead.
Romney rates a cool 30% re-elect number.
Yeah, these are all over the place, and unrelated... but I think it's clear that people are getting sick of the BS, all over the country. Looks like people don't actually like the debased pandering to the ultra-right... or the rationalizations of the DLC. But the Dems won't take advantage of this unless they have something significant to offer.
Who is going to step up and fill the vacuum, here and nationally?

Relatedly, there has been a flurry of defections from conservative pundits of late. Beginning of a trend, perhaps?

Now the dems just have to not trip over themselves.
Alex Beam had an excellent line in today's Globe which describes the feelings of many dems. "Kerry Haters for Kerry"

Here:
Sox in September and October, Pats Sep - Jan, maybe a little BC excitement, and there's alwyas the Celtics and the Bruins.
Elsewhere: less baseball excitement, more college football excitement. Lots of sports everywhere.
Hopefully Air America can continue it's slow, steady growth.
